Postcards: Day 3 – Cheri Arbuckle

This is the third of the five postcards I created earlier this term in Photoshop.

Though I now live in Triangle area of North Carolina, I grew up in Silverton, Oregon. So I decided to do a postcard about one of Oregon’s towns that usually tops the list of “Amusing Oregon City Names”: Boring.

Boring, Oregon is a real town. It has a sister city in Scotland called Dull. They have a joint festival every August 9th called the “Boring and Dull festival“. They then joined up with a shire in Australia known as Bland, creating the League of Extraordinary Communities.
